"Why is it important to learn from each other?"-Shannon

What a great question Shannon!  This was the main point of our social studies lesson today.  The students talked about how people can be different and how people can be similar. The students took a survey asking each of the classmates questions like, "Do you like sports?" "Do you like to dance?" "Are you a boy?"  "Are you a girl?"  The students had to shake hands and say hello before asking the questions.

At the end of the lesson, Loren answered Shannon's question by saying sometimes you can learn important things from people you didn't know before.

Tomorrow we will be creating our collage quilts!  Please look for photos of those soon!

Spelling Folders will go home at the beginning of the week.  They will stay at home and be returned on Friday.  Spelling tests will be given each Friday.  As we progress through the year some students may be given different words based on their needs.  If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me!!

As we begin spelling this coming week, one of the resources I have set up for families is located at http://www.spellingcity.com/Feinman/   This is an excellent website for children to use to practice spelling.
